Social acceptance is essential for successful wetland conservation and restoration efforts, yet a standardized instrument to gauge social acceptance remains still lacking. This poster is introducting the Social Monitor for Ecosystem Restoration. Situated along the Dijle River the restoration and conservation of wetlands can play a key role in Leuven’s climate transition efforts The SOMER can provide city planners with insights into attitudes and perceptions, facilitating the successful implementation of climate and nature based projects
